This Privacy Policy explains how ATHVLVE (“ATHVLVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our athlete development and scouting platform (the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Kevin Kanhai, a sole trader based in Trinidad and Tobago, trading as “ATHVLVE,” who is responsible for the information described in this policy. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

Who This Applies To

The Platform is used by athletes (18 and over), parents and guardians who manage accounts on behalf of athletes under 18, and scouts. Different parts of this policy apply depending on your role.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and the role you sign up as.
• Athlete profile information: sport, position, island, biography, goals, journey level, and profile photo.
• Performance and athletic data: self-reported statistics and results verified at official events.
• Scout verification information: the organization or role a scout provides and a photo of an identity document they upload. This is used only to verify a scout’s identity, is stored privately, is visible only to ATHVLVE administrators, and is never shown to athletes or other users.
• Payment information: details you provide to purchase an ATHVLVE+ membership or a Scout subscription, processed through our payment provider.
• Usage information: basic technical data needed to keep you logged in and to operate the Platform securely.

Children and Guardian Consent

Athletes under the age of 18 do not create their own accounts. Instead, a parent or legal guardian creates and manages the athlete’s profile and is responsible for the information provided. Any contact directed at a minor by a scout is routed to and managed by the minor’s guardian. We do not knowingly allow direct private contact between an unaccompanied minor and an adult on the Platform. If you believe a minor’s information has been provided without proper guardian consent, please contact us so we can address it.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the Platform: to create and display athlete profiles, run and manage events, enable discovery by verified scouts, verify scout identity, process memberships and subscriptions, and keep accounts secure. We do not sell your personal information.

How Information Is Shared

• With scouts: athlete profiles and statistics may be visible to verified scouts so they can evaluate athletes. Discovery is based on merit, not on payment status.
• Through guardians: for athletes under 18, scout contact is delivered to and handled by the guardian.
• With service providers: we use trusted third parties to host the Platform, store data, and process payments. They may only use information to provide those services to us.
• For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.

Payments

ATHVLVE+ memberships and Scout subscriptions are paid through our third-party payment provider or arranged in person. Card and payment details are handled by the payment provider; we receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details, not your full card information.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including restricted access to sensitive fields and security rules at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.

ATHVLVE is operated from Trinidad and Tobago and is available to users across the Caribbean. Your information may be stored and processed in Trinidad and Tobago and in other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to your information being processed in these locations.

Your Rights and Choices

You may review and update profile information from your dashboard. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us. For athletes under 18, these requests should be made by the guardian who manages the account.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymize associated information unless we are required to keep it for legal or legitimate business reasons.

Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies only as needed to keep you securely logged in and to operate the Platform. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the Platform.
